Nimbus LED.next lights and translucent room dividers have been used successfully in the fitout of a large orthopaedic surgery. The brief was simple: produce a sophisticated and original design for the workspace using light, bright colours, clear shapes and contemporary art. Lighting was an essential element for both task oriented procedures, ambient and reception areas and importantly to light the art on the surgery walls. Close collaboration with the Nimbus Group in the planning phase resulted in an LED solution which met the brief and had the added bonus of being environmentally friendly and maintenance free.
The surgery uses square Mike Tango built-in luminaires and the Modul Q 36, 64, 144 and 400 LEDs, both as flush and surface-mounted variants, on the ceilings with larger sizes suspended above the reception counter.

Art is a large feature of the surgery and benefits from being well-lit. Spirito Santo wall surface-mounted luminaires deliver variable and indirect light. When patients enter the surgery, they are guided through the rooms via the light of the Zen On wall lamps fitted at knee level. They point the way from the entrance to the reception, from there to the waiting zone and then further to the treatment rooms.
The waiting zone next to the entrance and reception is open. Award-winning Rossoacoustic CP 30 Space Dividers offer an elegant solution for acoustically and visually screening areas. Thanks to their microperforated surface, they have a sound-absorbing effect, but maintain the link to the generously dimensioned space because of their transparent structure. The
